The two years of full-scale war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine have been a test for our people, but also a time of incredible unity and resilience. During this time, our organisation, UOSSM UKRAINE, has made a significant contribution to helping those affected by the war by implementing numerous projects aimed at improving their lives.
One of our most recent achievements was a training course for surgeons and anaesthetists, which took place in Vinnytsia from 26 February to 1 March 2024. Thanks to the cooperation with our partners from the David Nott Foundation, the course reached 65 students and provided them with valuable knowledge and skills necessary to save lives in difficult war conditions.
In total, over the two years of its operation, UOSSM UKRAINE has conducted 9 similar courses in different cities of Ukraine, including Dnipro, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Lviv and Vinnytsia. Thanks to these courses, more than 500 doctors have been able to upgrade their qualifications and improve their surgical skills, which in turn has allowed them to help thousands of wounded Ukrainians.
We express our sincere gratitude to our partners at the David Nott Foundation for their invaluable contribution to our work. Their support enables us to continue saving lives and giving them hope for a better future.
We believe that together we can overcome this tragedy and rebuild a peaceful and prosperous Ukraine.
