“Leather Ball” Football Competition and School Football League: New Opportunities for Children, Moments of Joy and Unity

On May 29 and 30, 2024, the final matches of the youth football tournaments “Leather Ball” and the School Football League were held at the central arena of the Desniansky CFZN “Sport for All” and NTB “Nyvky”. These competitions, which brought together teams from grades 3-7 from all districts of Kyiv, became a real holiday of sports and unity for hundreds of young Ukrainian football players.

The holding of these competitions became possible thanks to the cooperation of the organizers with the Kyiv Football Federation, the charitable foundation “Ukrainian Medical and Humanitarian Fund “UOSSM” and other caring organizations.

During the war, it is especially important to remember the future generation and the opportunities that sport brings into their lives. The opportunity to see future football stars is not at all the main thing that encourages the holding of such competitions, but instead to give children in this difficult time the opportunity to unite and experience those childhood emotions that they are losing due to the Russian invasion.

The charitable foundation “Ukrainian Medical and Humanitarian Fund “UOSSM” sincerely believes that supporting young talents and popularizing sports among children is an investment in the future of our country.
